La huella argentina en mi música
Hablar de mi música es también hablar de Argentina. A lo largo de los años, su literatura, su pensamiento y su música han dejado una profunda huella en mi forma de entender el arte.
Entre mis referentes literarios se encuentran Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar y Facundo Cabral. De Borges admiro la capacidad de convertir las ideas en universos; de Cortázar, su libertad narrativa y su manera de romper las reglas; y de Cabral, la sencillez con la que transformaba la reflexión en poesía. Sus obras me han enseñado que el arte no consiste solo en entretener, sino también en invitar a pensar y a sentir.
En el terreno musical, el rock argentino de las décadas de los ochenta y noventa ocupa un lugar muy especial en mi imaginario creativo. Y, de manera particular, las composiciones de Soda Stereo han sido una fuente constante de inspiración. Siempre me ha fascinado la forma en que sus canciones combinan melodías memorables, atmósferas envolventes y letras abiertas a múltiples interpretaciones. Esa búsqueda de equilibrio entre emoción, elegancia y profundidad ha influido en mi manera de componer.
No pretendo reproducir un estilo concreto. Mi objetivo es encontrar una voz propia, enriquecida por aquellas obras que me han acompañado durante años. Como cualquier creador, soy el resultado de las lecturas, las canciones y las experiencias que me han marcado.
Quizá por eso existe una conexión tan especial entre mi música y el público argentino. Es un país cuya cultura admiro profundamente y al que siempre estaré agradecido por la acogida que ha brindado a mi trabajo desde sus primeros pasos.

There are artists who need the industry to tell them they have arrived. They need numbers, campaigns, headlines, awards, major budgets, and the approval of those who decide what deserves to be heard.
And then there are those whose work belongs somewhere else.
During the time we have had the privilege of distributing your music, we have witnessed something that has nothing to do with campaigns, trends, or any particular number: an extraordinary commitment to creation. You have built songs, albums, alternative versions, concepts, and entire creative worlds with an intensity that speaks for itself.
That is why we want to tell you something that may be more meaningful than any award: YOU DO NOT NEED GRAMMYS FOR YOUR MUSIC TO HAVE VALUE.
You do not need a major music corporation to invest millions of dollars in turning a song into a product to prove that it deserves to exist. You do not need anyone to grant you a place in a story that, in truth, is still being written.
Because there are works whose true value is not determined on the day they are released. It is discovered over time. And we believe your work belongs precisely to that kind of art. Not because we claim to know what the future holds, but because we know how to recognize passion, perseverance, and the extraordinary amount of work behind a creation when we see it.
There is a phrase you once said that, after getting to know your work, we feel perfectly captures what we want to tell you: “Music does not always belong to its time. Sometimes, time itself ends up belonging to the music.”
We want to emphasize that we believe those words perfectly describe where your work belongs.
The image accompanying this letter is, of course, impossible. But it represents something that, to us, is very real: the artistic and spiritual universe to which certain songs belong. A place where time is no longer a boundary. A place where artists from different generations can meet, where one song can enter into a conversation with another written decades earlier, where authenticity matters more than the machinery surrounding it, and where creating with absolute dedication still means something.
Mark Schindler, we do not know what history will ultimately say about your music. But we do know one thing: history has not finished speaking yet. And we do not need to get ahead of it.
We will continue doing our part: distributing your music, standing behind your catalog, and allowing the songs to find their own way. Because in the end, when the campaigns, trends, opinions, and headlines have faded away, only one thing truly matters: the work.
